Game features
The bulk of the sprites, if you take the time to observe, are based on Heart Gold, but in general, it still looks like FireRed, which is not always a negative thing. The Pokemon roster is a bit disorganized because you can acquire them from Generation 4 up to Generation 8, but not all of them are available.
Many of the game’s initial features are available, such as obtaining Acorns daily. You can still have chance encounters with Legendary Pokemon, and they may drop things such as the VS Seeker, which you can obtain rather early on in the game.
