Hey! Pikmin ROM Description

Hey! Pikmin is a puzzle platformer game developed by Arzest and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. It was released in 2017.

In Hey! Pikmin, players take on the role of Captain Olimar, the protagonist of the Pikmin series, as he travels through various environments collecting Sparklium, a valuable energy resource. Players must use the unique abilities of different types of Pikmin to solve puzzles and defeat enemies.

After crashing his spacecraft into the ground, Captain Olimar comes to and realizes that there is no more fuel left in the supply. As he looks about, he finds some buried Pikmin and some Sparklium seeds. The latter is required to leave because they are the fuel source for the spacecraft, while the former allowed him to find the Pikmin.

In Hey! Pikmin, the player, takes control of Captain Olimar in a 2.5D side-scrolling game featuring puzzle components. This contrasts with the 3D real-time strategy format often used in the Pikmin series.

Pikmin may be discovered in the wild, and Captain Olimar can summon them to him with his whistle. Once he has their attention, he can give them various instructions, such as throwing them onto platforms so that they can clear away obstacles and gather things. The D-pad is used to control Olimar, while the stylus is what you need to use to command Pikmin. As a consequence of this, the game makes extensive use of the touchscreen. Every kind of Pikmin possesses a unique set of skills. For instance, blue Pikmin can swim, red Pikmin can withstand flames, and yellow Pikmin is unaffected by electrical current. The game then requires the player to use a variety of Pikmin to complete various objectives.

Captain Olimar’s health is represented by a set of green bars when playing the new game. Unlike in the previous games, these bars can be lowered by merely bumping into foes and being depleted by enemy assaults.
