Pokemon Red Version is a role-playing video game developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy console. It is the first game in the Pokemon series, and was released in 1996.
Millions of players were first exposed to the world of Kanto via the release of Pokémon Red. This was the region where legendary Pokémon such as Charmander, Pikachu, and Mewtwo were found for the first time. Trainers have access to a total of 150 Pokémon and can get them through exciting adventures, fierce fights, and lucrative exchanges.
When you first arrive in Pallet Town, you are a young kid and start your adventure there. Following a potentially life-threatening run-in with wild Pokémon, Professor Oak will show you how to capture Pokémon, and then he will send you on your way as a novice Pokémon Trainer. While traveling across Kanto, it is necessary for you to not only capture Pokémon to add their details to your Pokédex but also compete in the many Gyms that can be found around the area in order to improve your skills as a Trainer. As soon as you have established yourself as a capable Pokémon Trainer, it is time to take on the Elite Four, a group of highly skilled Trainers who will put all your newly acquired knowledge to the test.
Your trip is not going to be simple in any way. Along the journey, you will come across a large number of Pokémon Trainers as well as wild Pokémon. However, you will also need to keep an eye out for Team Rocket, a nefarious organization comprised of Pokémon robbers. Team Rocket should not be allowed to steal rare Pokémon, and their illegal behavior should be stopped.
You will not be able to catch every Pokémon in either Pokémon Red or Pokémon Blue. If you want to complete your collection of Pokémon, you will need to engage in Pokémon trading with your friends via the Game Link Cable. You may also pit your team of loyal Pokémon against the teams of your friends with this item to find out which of your teams is the most powerful.
