Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins is a platform game that was released for the Game Boy in 1992. Developed and published by Nintendo, it is the sequel to the original Super Mario Land game.
The plot of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins centers around Mario, who must defeat the new villain, Wario, and reclaim his castle. Wario, Mario’s former friend and employer, has taken over Mario’s castle and the surrounding land of Mario Land, and Mario must collect six Golden Coins in order to open the door to the castle and confront Wario.
The gameplay of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins is similar to other games in the Super Mario series. Players take control of Mario and must navigate through various levels, jumping over obstacles, defeating enemies, and collecting power-ups. The game features four main worlds, each with its own unique levels and enemies, and a number of secret levels that can be accessed by finding hidden exits or completing specific tasks.
One of the unique features of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins is the inclusion of a new power-up, the “Raccoon Suit”, which allows Mario to fly and temporarily transform into a statue.
