Luigi’s Mansion is an action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for GameCube. It was released in 2001 in Japan and North America and in 2002 in Europe and Australia.

Story

You take on the role of Luigi, Mario’s long-lost brother, in Luigi’s Mansion.

Luigi discovered that he had won a house in competition as he was reading his mail. Strangely, he never participated in a competition in the first place. Because he is a naturally inquisitive guy, he decides to contact his brother Mario and requests to meet up with him at their home.

Luigi ventures off into the treacherous forest to locate the home, but upon arrival, he discovers that Mario is nowhere to be found. Perplexed, Luigi explores the home alone, only to run into several ghosts. After meeting with a scientist named Professor E. Gadd, he is given the Poltergust 3000 and explains the issue. Luigi must now make his way around the various rooms of the mansion while attempting to consume as many ghosts as possible.

It becomes clear that there is something far more evil going on in that haunted home as you continue your exploration of the unusual estate. This realization comes about as the story progressively comes together. Will you ever get to reunite with your long-lost brother Mario?

Gameplay

You will be required to solve puzzles, acquire cash, gems, jewels, and coins, and fight boss characters as you go across the world. Luigi’s vacuum can scavenge spirits previously residing in this peculiar home. On the other hand, the spirits are not going to give up so quickly. You must fight against them and drag them back to use your reliable vacuum to grab your target.
