- Use Dolphin Emulator to run ROM (Supports Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S)
- Use the Nkit Tool to convert file formats. It supports RVT, WBFS, ISO, and GCZ.
- Run the ROM file directly if it is in RVZ format. If the file is in WBFS or ISO format, convert it to RVZ.
- Stay away from the NKIT file!

If you’ve never experienced the magic of The Sims before, it’s such a trip creating families of Sims characters and managing their lives. It’s like playing god over a weird virtual dollhouse! Building their homes, choosing careers, handling relationships – the open-ended gameplay was revolutionary when it first dropped.
Hardcore Sims veterans may find some of the needs management repetitive though. Having to constantly stop for bathroom and sleep breaks can disrupt the flow. But there’s plenty of new stuff too like missions and co-op multiplayer to keep it fresh.
Technically, The Sims on GameCube looks and sounds almost identical to the PS2 version. Visuals got cleaned up a bit but still have some wonky edges. And they lazily recycled a lot of audio from old PC games. Not the most polished job but the gameplay is what counts.
Anyway, it’s easy to sink a gazillion hours into playing The Sims, so now’s your chance to do it on GameCube for zilch. Build an awesome mansion and fill it with fussy Sims to torment for hours of entertainment.
