Welcome back to the whimsical world of Rayman in “Rayman Legends”, a delightful 2D platform game that is a sequel to the acclaimed Rayman Origins. After the epic events of the previous game, our heroic trio – Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies – decided to take a century-long nap. But, as they snoozed, new nightmares began to plague the world and the defeated Magician from Rayman Origins split into five mischievous dark teensies. These dark forces captured the princesses of the land (including the brave and playable character, Barbara) and other unsuspecting teensies. This, of course, calls for Rayman and his friends to shake off their slumber and once again set things right!

Retaining the vibrant graphical style and most of the fun-filled gameplay elements of Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends allows up to four players to journey together through imaginative side-scrolling levels. Your mission is to vanquish enemies, collect twinkling Lums, and rescue the captured teensies. Rescuing teensies unlocks new levels and worlds to explore, providing endless fun. All the abilities from the previous game, such as wall-running and air gliding, are readily available to characters from the get-go. Still, there are some fresh twists added to the mix, like the ability to fire projectiles on specific levels.

In this epic adventure, you’ll be joined by Murfy, the helpful greenbottle. He pops up in some levels, ready to lend a hand. With a simple press of a button, Murfy can operate machinery, poke bigger enemies, and reveal hidden passages for your characters. In certain versions of the game, a fifth player can even control Murfy’s movements!

Rayman Legends offers a rich variety of gameplay experiences. You’ll find regular side-scrolling levels, fast-paced “invaded” versions of levels where speed is of the essence, and rhythm-based levels that will have you grooving along to humorous covers of popular songs. For an added bonus, you can unlock forty remastered levels from Rayman Origins by collecting Lucky tickets.

The fun doesn’t stop there, as Rayman Legends also dishes out daily and weekly challenges to keep you on your toes. If you’re in a mood for a friendly competition, you can engage in a local multiplayer soccer mini-game titled “Kung Foot.”
