“Smart As…” is Climax Studios’ unique PlayStation Vita brain training puzzle game released by Sony’s XDev Studio Europe. Its creative design and compelling gameplay set it apart in the brain game category. It was released in North America on October 30, 2012, then in Europe and Australia the following day.
“Smart As…”‘s daily brain power score challenge involves brain games in Arithmetic, Logic, Observation, and Language. A Brain Power Score is calculated daily using the player’s cumulative average score from these areas. The score is posted internationally so participants may view their ranking. The game’s Free Play section unlocks gradually, enabling practice anytime.
“Smart As…” uses the PlayStation Vita’s front and rear touch, gyroscopic sensors, and AR Card recognition to offer 20 games, five per brain region. Location-based gaming in “Street Smart” mode uses the Vita’s GPS. Every Free Play game has four difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Genius, increasing the challenge.
Different and fun math games in “Smart As…” In ‘Calculations Plus’, players write numbers on a virtual whiteboard to complete amounts. Players must compare two numbers in ‘Less Equals More’, while ‘Sum Sequence’ and ‘Bubble Sum’ twist arithmetic difficulties. ‘Number Pinch’ artistically mixes numbers in liquid bubbles.
