Imagine speeding across space in 2212 on the sole spaceship that can save ships from black holes. “Velocity,” a PlayStation shoot-em-up, is set in this environment. After its sequel, “Velocity 2X,” the game expanded to newer consoles and PC. The excitement of “Velocity” remains: pilot the Quarp Jet, a teleporting spaceship, in a risky interplanetary rescue mission.
The game “Velocity” combines action and strategy. Players fly the Quarp Jet across space, evading adversaries and dropping bombs. The main goal? To rescue trapped ships, shields were used. These shields can only be disabled by striking switches in a certain order, adding puzzle-solving to the fast-paced action. The Quarp Jet can teleport and produce telepods, letting players return areas. Solving problems and rescuing every ship requires these features.
After the star Vilio collapses into a black hole, several spaceships are left powerless and unprotected. The teleporting Quarp Jet is humanity’s final hope. Players must cross this perilous terrain while the Zetachron invade. Balance the rescue mission with fighting against this dangerous opponent for an exciting challenge.
