MiniVisions’ colorful platform game “Woah Dave!” The arcade-style game was available for iOS, Windows, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita.
The single-screen game “Woah Dave!” provides a basic yet tough gameplay experience. Dave must battle adversaries with eggs and skulls. Maintaining these goods for too long can kill Dave, bringing strategy to the game. To collect as much coins as possible by defeating enemies. In an unusual twist, creatures that fall into the lava at the bottom of the screen develop and earn Dave additional cash for fighting them. This evolution concept adds depth and encourages players to strategy to obtain coins.
Release and updates: “Woah Dave!” was launched on iOS, Windows, and Nintendo 3DS on October 30, 2014, and later for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4. Two new stages, six new characters, boss encounters, opponent kinds, and rideable UFOs were added to the PS4 version on March 31, 2015. Hidden Easter eggs and the original game were available. The game was patched on all platforms to include these features, improving playability.
