SUPER MARIO WORLD (V1.0) ROM Description
Nintendo’s Super Mario World is a platform video game that was created by Nintendo and published for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. In Japan, the game was named Super Mario World: Super Mario Bros. 4. (SNES). It was originally released in Japan in 1990, followed by publication in the United States of America the following year (1991), and finally in Europe and Australia the following year (1992). The player assumes the role of Mario as he embarks on an adventure to save Princess Peach and Dinosaur Land from the series’ main antagonist, Bowser, and Bowser’s underlings, the Koopalings. The gameplay is comparable to that of other Super Mario games in that players take control of Mario and guide him through a series of levels with the objective of hitting the goalpost at the end of the game.
Players can choose to take control of Mario or Luigi, and their objective in each stage is to guide their hero to the finish of the level, which is indicated by a massive and evasive moving goalpost known as the Giant Gate. But the journey is never straightforward, as certain levels have secret exits that are waiting to be found by the sharp-eyed and courageous explorer who unearths a key and brings it to a mystery keyhole. These exits are waiting to be discovered by the player.
Mario is able to explore the vast landscapes of Super Mario World when he has the dependable and powerful Yoshi at his side. This allows Mario to soar through the air and use Yoshi’s tongue as a weapon while fighting off his foes. Participate in the Super Mario World adventure by accompanying Mario and Yoshi on their mission. Allow yourself to be swept up in the fun.
