From a very long time ago, there was a band of nefarious individuals known as the Doom Raiders in the Skylands. They were known to cause chaos wherever they went. The only Skylanders capable of defeating and capturing them and then placing them in Cloudcracker Prison were the most skilled Skylanders armed with unique weapons composed of Traptanium. They were held captive there until Kaos released them, at which point he dispatched the Trap Master Skylanders to our planet. Additionally, the shards of Cloudcracker Prison were transformed into Traptanium Traps.

Skylanders: Trap Team is the fourth installment in the family of video games known as Skylanders.
