Inazuma Eleven Go: Light is a soccer role-playing game developed and published by Level-5 for the Nintendo DS handheld console. It is part of the Inazuma Eleven series of games, popular in Japan and other parts of Asia.

Story

Ten years after the events of Inazuma Eleven 3, a fresh player named Arion Sherwin is starting his soccer career at Raimon High. It is his first day here, and he could not be more excited to join the illustrious football club at the school. But when a strange youngster shows up on the field, Arion realizes that the club is about to be shut down by a nefarious firm called Fifth Sector, which is the organization that controls the minor football leagues. It is time to tie your shoes!

Gameplay

After becoming a member of the school football club, you will be required to assemble a squad, and simply finding a “decent” group of players will not be sufficient. Your team may be formed in one of two ways: first, you can win a five-on-five Battle against another team and get an invitation to join from a member of the losing team’s five-on-five team. There are other sellers from whom you might purchase certain PalPack Cards. You might think of these as informational pamphlets for new gamers, filled with relevant statistics and the steps necessary to sign up. It is possible that you could come across more than a thousand people as you continue to play the game, but you will only have 16 spots available for your squad and only 110 for the roster as a whole, so choose wisely!

When it is time to start the game, there are two different kinds of matches to choose from. The first is a game with 11 players that lasts 10 minutes, while the second is a surprise game with five players where you have one minute to complete a specific task, such as scoring a goal. Both of these games are bashes. You start the game by moving your player up the field with the stylus, and then you touch the screen to kick the ball, pass it, or mark your opponents.
