Medarot Girls Mission: Kabuto Ver. is a role-playing game part of the Medarot franchise. Medarot is a series of video games and other media that centers around robots called “Medarots” and the humans who control them. The games typically involve collecting, training, and battling with these robots.
In Medarot Girls Mission: Kabuto Ver., players take on the role of a young girl just starting as a Medarot trainer. The game follows her journey as she collects and trains various Medarots and battles against other trainers to become the best. The game features several different Medarots to organize and prepare, each with unique abilities and stats.
Similar to Medarot Dual, this game pits two teams of two against each other in action, but this time around, there are 20 female characters to choose from and 156 Medarots to acquire. It was published in both the Kabuto and Kuwagata regions, like Dual; however, unlike Dual, progressing through the tale with your chosen protagonist unlocks other schools and additional female characters to play as (which consists of 12 missions).
In addition to the primary story mode, Medarot Girls Mission: Kabuto Ver. also includes several other gameplay modes, such as a tournament mode and an accessible battle mode. The game was released for the Nintendo DS in 2012 and is only available in Japan.
