Pokemon Supernova Sun ROM Description
Mods for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Pokémon Ultra Moon are known as Pokémon Supernova Sun. In the same vein as my hacks for the Rutile Ruby and Star Sapphire, the primary objective of these modifications is to make the gameplay more difficult without unduly restricting the player’s options. To make Supernova Sun a more challenging game, the Pokémon Trainers in the universe have been completely reimagined from the bottom up. This is the game’s defining characteristic. Every trainer in the game has been modified, and the level curve now requires the player to use the Experience Share item to advance levels. This results in the player leveling up incredibly rapidly. Every Pokémon on the teams of Trainers is equipped with a proper moveset, and many of them are also clutching items. The player does not need to put in extra time or effort to reach the same level as the Elite Four or the Champion.
The secondary objective of Supernova Sun is based on Super Smash Bros. Melee’s “20XX Hack Pack,” which is intended to boost the ability of competitive players to train and grind. Everything obtained in Supernova Sun’s Legit Build is lawful and acceptable for use in online competitions or transactions. Some of the features included in each Build are intended to simplify the process of putting together competitive teams. Eggs hatch in one cycle, and Level 100 Memento Blissey battles are available in the Battle Buffet once the main story has been defeated. Competitive hold items are much more readily available, a 6IV Ditto can be obtained through an in-game trade (while holding a Destiny Knot), and there is a much shorter hatching time for eggs.

These modifications include a lot of extra content. Aside from Trainers, Supernova Sun also has altered versions of the following:
- Availability of wild Pokémon (in three distinct methods!)
- Pokemon found in the wild may have things Poké Marts and other particular merchants may also sell certain items.
- Techniques of evolution for Trade Evolutions and “Level up in a certain area/version” Evolutions Level-Up movesets to accommodate the steeper level curve and provide access to both TM and Tutor moves (details)
