Return to Popolocrois: A Story of Seasons Fairytale is a role-playing game developed by Marvelous and released for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2015 and in North America and Europe in 2016. It is a spin-off of the Popolocrois series and is set in the same universe as the Story of Seasons games.
Investigate the depths of a world tainted by nightfall. Save the day, defeat the bad guys, and make it back to PopoloCrois all while bringing life back to the dead!
In honor of Prince Pietro’s 13th birthday, the entire town of PopoloCrois has gathered together for a party. Yet among them is a person of extraordinary importance: Marmela, queen of the fantastical country of Galariland. The monarch of PopoloCrois is consulting her because her homeland has been devastated by dark monsters that pollute the earth and prevent crops from sprouting.
In her professional view, what? As an envoy for PopoloCrois, Prince Pietro should travel to Galariland to assess the damage and hear about the resistance efforts of the Galari people firsthand. But when he arrives, he realizes there is no way back, and that the long-suffering locals care nothing about his regal reputation.
As Prince Pietro, it is your responsibility to establish a new life for yourself in Galariland while you look for a route back home, and to do all in your power to nurture the land and new relationships while you wait.
