Stella Glow ROM Description
Stella Glow is a tactical role-playing game developed by Imageepoch and published by Sega for the Nintendo 3DS. The game was released in Japan in 2015 and in North America and Europe in 2016.
Plot
After a long time ago, God silenced all of humanity by removing their capacity to sing, leaving just five witches as the only humans who could make music. A young man with amnesia named Alto lives in a quaint little town with his close friend Lisette at this time in the current day. When Hilda, the Witch of Destruction, strikes the town, she crystallizes everyone save Alto and Lisette, which causes Lisette to realize her abilities as the Witch of Water. Alto, on the other hand, is unaffected by Hilda’s onslaught. As a result, Lisette and Alto decided to become members of the Regnant Knights, which is an organization with the mission of bringing together the Witches of Water, Fire, Earth, and Wind so that they can sing the song that will break the crystallization spell that Hilda has been using to attack the country. Because Alto possesses the power of a Conductor, which enables him to reawaken the Witches’ songs, it is his responsibility to make friends with the Witches and assist them in getting ready for the fight.
Gameplay
Stella Glow is a role-playing video game that uses a turn-based approach. The battles take place on a grid, and the player is responsible for moving each unit in their arsenal in order to wipe out the various foes and complete the other objectives. Every playable character possesses their own set of special talents and powers, and Witches in particular have the ability to sing in order to provide magical effects that are applicable throughout the whole battlefield.
During the Free Time phases of the game, the player has the option to spend time with other party members in order to strengthen Alto’s relationship with them, explore the surrounding locations, and accept part-time jobs in order to earn additional money and things. Most notably, this is when Alto may use Tune a Witch, which allows her to enter a witch’s heart and truly fight the demons that reside inside. If the tuning goes well, you can unlock new songs that you can play in the arena.
Features
- Sing your way to victory over your foes using Song Magic: Over twenty tracks in the game include famous Japanese voice actors. Yasunori Mitsuda, a renowned Japanese composer, also provided the score (Chrono Trigger, Xenogears). Song Magic, of which the songs are a component, is integral to both battle and the plot. It’s up to the player to decide whether or not to “tune” the Witches’ hearts in order to boost their skills.
- Combat Time will move the plot along, but players will have a limited amount of Free Time in which to make upgrades, acquire new equipment, tune their Witches’ hearts, explore, and grind experience. It’s important to make the most of your free time so that you may develop meaningful connections with your teammates and perhaps even find love with one of them, since this can lead to access to additional abilities and events.
- Stella Glow has over 50 different areas to fight on, various endings, a New Game+ option, and a wealth of other material that will keep you occupied for 40 to 60 hours.
- Luminous Arc’s creators have created a new IP with the same acclaimed strategic combat as their past titles.
Stella Glow features a story-driven campaign, in which players must explore a variety of environments and complete quests to progress. The game also includes a range of customization options, allowing players to level up their characters and equip them with a variety of skills and abilities.
Conclusion
Stella Glow received generally positive reviews upon release, with praise for its engaging story, interesting characters, and tactical combat system. However, it was criticized for its slow pacing and repetitive gameplay. It is considered a cult classic among fans of the tactical role-playing genre.
