Lightwood Games created a novel word puzzle game called Worcle Worlds. In this game, unlike traditional word search or crossword puzzles, players fireball into a spinning circle to make words of three letters or more before the circle fills up. Balls will emerge from the circle as they join to create words. However, if players don’t spell words quickly enough, they will get “sucked in” by the vortex and lose the game.
The game offers a variety of solitary puzzle stages that become more difficult when more regulations are added in distinct “worlds”. Players stuck on a certain level may become frustrated with the linear advancement, even if the story aspects are designed to teach these new techniques. Some thought the “vowel drought” test was unnecessarily challenging.
