Donkey Kong ROM Description
Donkey Kong is a classic platform game that was released for the Game Boy in 1994. Developed by Nintendo and published by Nintendo, Donkey Kong is a re-imagining of the original arcade game that was released in 1981. The game features similar gameplay and characters, but with new levels and features.
The big ape is back for another round in this revamped version of the original Nintendo arcade game. It may look like a simple port at first, but the stages you remember from the arcade game are simply a warmup for the actual platforming action that awaits you here. At the end of the fourth level, Donkey Kong abducts Pauline once more instead of rescuing her.
There are 96 levels spread across over 12 planets. These stages are far more difficult than the ones before them, what with their constantly shifting backdrops, plenty of collectibles, and swarms of foes. There are multiple boss fights with Donkey Kong interspersed throughout the game.
