As they descend, your task is to catch these enemies on trays, shuffle them around and match them to make them disappear. If you manage to sandwich several enemies between two eggshell halves, a specific type of Yoshi appears, offering a fun twist to the game.
The Gameplay that Keeps You Hooked
The playing field in Yoshi is divided into four columns, with blocks falling from the top to create vertical stacks. As Mario, your mission is to prevent these stacks from becoming too tall and exiting the play field. To do so, you have to strategically swap and move the stacks to ensure that falling monsters meet their identical counterparts on the stacks, resulting in their removal from play.
The game also features Yoshi egg shells that need to be matched to hatch them. This dynamic, coupled with the continuous falling of monsters, demands that you remain on your toes to maintain control over the stacks and prevent the game from ending.
Single-Player or Competitive, Yoshi has it all
Yoshi offers an engaging single-player mode where you aim for high scores, and a competitive two-player mode for those craving a head-to-head challenge. In the single-player mode, you can choose between A-Type for an endless game until you lose, or B-Type where you clear a series of levels by removing all blocks from the playing field.
