Gameplay

In Mario Party 4, players embark on a journey through various whimsical game boards filled with challenges and opportunities. From four player minigames to one versus three, two versus two, battle, Bowser, story and Extra Room minigames, there’s something for everyone in this dynamic and interactive party experience. Traverse the boards, roll the dice, and collect coins as you compete against friends or computer-controlled opponents to purchase the ultimate prize – a star. With its simplistic-but-fun gameplay, gorgeous graphics, and cheerful music, Mario Party 4 will surely bring laughter and excitement to players of all ages.

The game features six exhilarating boards and eight iconic characters ready for play. Join Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Princess Peach, as well as the cunning Wario and the lovable Donkey Kong (who makes his last appearance as a playable character before running the Donkey Kong minigames in Mario Party 5). The lineup also includes the debut of Princess Daisy and the mischievous Waluigi.

Embark on an adventure through Toad’s Midway Madness, Koopa’s Seaside Soiree, Goomba’s Greedy Gala, Boo’s Haunted Bash, Shy Guy’s Jungle Jam, and Bowser’s Gnarly Party. Each board is unique and brings its own theme to the table, with features that reflect the environment, such as a roulette wheel in the casino-themed board. Discover exciting locales, like the Event spaces scattered across the board, the coin-gambling Lottery Shops, and the devious Boo Houses, where the Boo can be paid to steal from other players. Meanwhile, other spaces on the board are either red or blue, deducting or adding coins.
