Need For Speed: Carbon ROM Description

Yo, peep the 2006 NFS joint. It’s a straight-up evolution of the gameplay from the previous games. You get all the freedom in the career mode set in a city with a story supported by FMV cutscenes, just like in NFS: Most Wanted, but now you’re racing for territory in the sick Carbon Canyon. And don’t worry. Those high-speed police pursuits are still a staple. But the tuning and customization game is still strong, just like in NFS Underground. Stack your cash from races and hit up the garages and car lots to upgrade your ride.

About 40 vehicles may be unlocked in the game’s newest iteration, spread across many categories of difficulty. Some of these vehicles have appeared in earlier editions, while others, like the Ford Mustang and Dodge Charger, are brand-new entries.

Players may organize their own crews and modify their vehicles with more intricate sculpting features in addition to unlocking automobiles. Drift races from NFS:U are replaced with drag races in this game. The game also features new types of vehicles.

PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 users may race against as many as seven other players online in Pursuit Tag or Pursuit Knockout modes. In Pursuit Tag, one player assumes the role of a civilian automobile while the other players act as police cars and try to stop them by tagging them. Each player in Pursuit Knockout begins the game as an ordinary vehicle, but the last one to cross the finish line at the end of the first lap becomes the police car and must inflict as much damage as possible on the other racers. The game also features a cooperative option where up to four players can participate in a single race together. Players on the PS2, GC, and Xbox versions will be disappointed to learn that there will be no online multiplayer.

n the game’s career mode, the city and its surroundings have been divided into various territories under the control of different gangs. Players are either invited or challenged to race in these sections and claim them as their own. This can be achieved by impressing the gang leader through winning races until a final duel is challenged.

The duel consists of two races, the first occurring within the city and the second along the narrow roads of Carbon Canyon. The player’s score is based on proximity, following the boss during the first race and evading pursuit during the second race. There are a total of four boss duels that must be won to claim all the territories.
