Shiren the Wanderer is a series of roguelike role-playing games developed by Chunsoft (now Spike Chunsoft) and published by Sega in Japan and Atlus in North America and Europe. The series has been released on various platforms, including the Super Nintendo, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo Switch.

The Karakuri Mansion has continuously been home to a princess for the past one thousand years. When Shiren’s former master gives him the Karakuri key, he quickly discovers that he is embroiled in a mystery that has lasted for millennia. He must travel through the past and the present to solve the girl’s mystery and defeat an ancient evil that has lain dormant for centuries…

While playing the role of the ronin warrior Shiren role, you will travel around the ancient land and come across dungeons with snow, sakura, walls of fire, and other hazards. You may take control of up to three party members as you explore the dungeons, searching for loot and devising strategies to defeat the hostile NPCs. While the Normal option poses more of a challenge to seasoned players, the Easy mode is explicitly designed for players just starting in the dungeons.
