Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is an action-adventure video game developed by LucasArts and published by Electronic Arts. It was released in 2008 for multiple platforms, including PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii. The game is set in the Star Wars universe between the films Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope.
In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, players take control of Starkiller, a secret apprentice of Darth Vader whose job is to find the last Jedi and kill those against the Emperor. The game has a unique way to control it, which lets players use the power of the Force, use weapons, use telekinetic powers, and change the environment to defeat enemies.
Players face many challenges during the game, such as fights with stormtroopers, lightsaber duels with Jedi, and boss fights with very strong enemies. There are also many different settings in the game, such as the Wookiee planet Kashyyyk, the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, and the planet Felucia.
Killing foes and collecting their blue orbs grants the player experience points that may be used to purchase new abilities and boost the damage of their attacks. Using flashy and complicated on foes will get you more force orbs. At the end of each level, the player faces a monster, who may be anything from a powerful Jedi to a massive beast like a Rancor. The player must execute a sequence of button-pressing events to defeat these bosses, much as in the God of War games.
