You even get bombs and magic potions to turn the tables on your enemies.

Super Mario Bros. 2 is a 2D side-scrolling platform game where the primary goal is to navigate your chosen character through Subcon and triumph over the antagonist, Wart. Unlike the other Mario games, you can’t simply defeat enemies by jumping on them. Instead, you can pick up and hurl them at each other or use vegetables plucked from the ground.

Upon completion of each world, you face off against a boss enemy. After defeating six of these bosses, you confront Wart himself at the end of World 7. You start the game with three lives and lose a life when your character loses all health or falls off the screen. You can gain extra lives by collecting hidden 1-Up Mushrooms or using the coins from Sub-space to play the Bonus Chance mini-game.
