The distinction is that you no longer select primary and secondary skills, traits, or a birth sign during character creation. That may sound like it needs to include all the character customization and RPG aspects you want, but it is not. Those components remain in the game. However, they have been altered slightly.

Birth signs, for example, are scattered across the open world atop stone obelisks; one can be activated at a time for certain positive benefits, while other birth signs from earlier Elder Scrolls can be found in the skill trees as a perk.

Character Customization

Perk points benefit certain professions, such as increasing weapon damage or lessening the cost of casting spells. Perks have also made previously broken or intangible gaming styles far more enjoyable or brilliantly implemented. For example, the ability to take a breath to slow down time and zoom in with a bow or massive damage multipliers for daggers, making formerly simple weapons very devastating.

To get perk points, you must level up. As customary in the Elder Scrolls franchise, level increments are earned by training and perfecting abilities via their use rather than accumulating experience points. So, if you want to become a great blacksmith, go to the Forges. If you wish to cast wild lightning spells, go all Darth Sidious on some faces. Like in real life, you grow better at things the more you do them.

With the substantially enhanced dual-wielding system, you can develop two talents simultaneously. The method lets you grasp a weapon in each fist or cast a healing spell with one hand while ice flies from the other. The play-styles and character customization are highly changeable, accurately reflecting the mentality that The Elder Scrolls franchise has always sought to express: open-mindedness.

Open-ended Gameplay

The principles of being an open-ended game extend beyond character creation and fighting; your gaming liberties are entrenched in how you navigate your customized character around the realm of Skyrim to unveil the legend of the Dragonborn. The mythology is intimately related to battle and adventuring.

In Skyrim, you are the Dragonborn, a mortal with dragon blood who can slay enormous winged serpents and absorb their souls to unleash tremendous cries. However, these yells have more than just a narrative purpose. Shouts unlock additional skills, such as traversing previously unreachable distances or ripping dragons from the sky.

From the way the main story is filled with metaphors of how powerful speech and language can be, which is then tied into the gameplay through shouts as the Dragonborn shapes the nation of Skyrim with a powerful voice to the beautifully foreign structures of a Gothic and Viking stylization that populate the landscapes, to the very way the music meshes with harmonious harp strings that are complimented by a primal Viking choir; every aspect of Skyrim brings all of its ideas and
