Bold and unapologetically unique, Vib-Ribbon PS Vita sprung onto the scene in 1999, a compelling rhythm video game crafted with an artisanal touch by the skilled hands at NanaOn-Sha and ushered into the world by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game’s initial debut was in Japan, and its popularity swiftly spread to Europe. Although North American fans had to wait until 2014 for its release on the PlayStation Network, the anticipation only stoked the fires of this game’s cult following.
The fascinating birth story of Vib-Ribbon was unlike any other. Its inception was tied to a high-profile advertisement for the Mercedes-Benz A-Class car. When the car’s design hit a roadblock and the ad campaign was abandoned, the game transitioned into its own entity, wholly independent and brimming with creative potential.
