For years, a swarm of ROM hacks have swooped in to revamp classic games with fresh twists and turns. These mods have always been impressive, from overhauling storylines to unleashing never-before-seen Pokemon and creating entirely new creatures known as Fakemon. But with the arrival of Pokemon Crown, the bar has been raised to new heights.

Gone are the days of turn-based battles. Crown transforms the game with an awe-inspiring auto-battle feature. You still get to catch and train your favorite Pokemon, but with a whole new level of excitement. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Pokemon Crown ROM has features that will blow your mind and make you thirst for more. Although the game is not fully complete, it is playable, so be warned, there may be a few bugs lurking.

Step into the magnificent Medieval Guelder Region, where adventure awaits at every turn. Pokemon Crown is a fan-made creation built upon the foundation of Fire Red. With the ability to assemble a squad of 9 powerful Pokemon, engage in electrifying 6v6 auto battles and discover the beloved franchise in a fresh new light. Brought to life by the sincere efforts of Blah, Criminon, and Jake, this non-profit project is an actual labor of love.

Plot

The vast and enchanted Region of Guelder is the setting for Pokémon Crown, a Medieval role-playing game. Guelder, a wealthy stronghold, was dragged into an endless conflict. For several years, Guelder eventually prevailed, but not without paying a heavy price. While the area was busy repairing its infrastructure, the King’s Diviner predicted two adverse outcomes for the kingdom: bright and gloomy times were ahead. The King’s visions let him see that the kingdom’s fate was sealed unless he instituted reforms.

The Crown League, the first Pokémon League, was founded under the King’s command. As Guelder’s frontiers gradually open up to the outside world, many new and powerful trainers have come to test their mettle. Can you take the Crown Challenge and come out on top? Every Pokémon match in the Guelder area is fought in a unique format known as a Crown Battle. Learn to fight in this mode, and you will be named Guelder’s Champion!
