[GBA] Pokemon Fakemon FireRed ROM Download
Pokemon Fakemon FireRed ROM Description
In the world of ROM hacks, there are many Fakemon-based games available. Some of them, such as the Moemon series, simply replace the Pokemon sprites with chibi-style female characters. Others, like Fakemon FireRed, take a more ambitious approach by introducing entirely new Pokemon species alongside modified sprites.
This ROM hack stands out from the crowd by offering an impressive 252 original Fakemon to encounter and capture. Of these, 19 possess the ability to Mega Evolve, adding another layer of depth to the game’s mechanics. While the core gameplay remains true to FireRed, the addition of these unique creatures and a few other intriguing features makes this ROM hack a must-play for fans of the genre.
Plot
The narrative of the Pokémon FireRed Version remains unchanged, with only minor modifications to its mythology to incorporate newly introduced Legendary Pokémon in place of the old ones. Nonetheless, the sequence of in-game events remains unaltered, featuring the same roster of characters, towns, cities, and occurrences as the original FireRed, except for the replacement of Pokémon, as previously noted.
ROM features
This game boasts several improvements, including the Physical/Special Split with accompanying visual cues. It also features three new types: Fairy, Digital, and Cosmic, along with numerous new moves from both later generations and completely original ones. Many new abilities, such as Technician, No Guard, Bulletproof, and Skill Link, and items, such as Eviolite, Assault Vest, and new evolution stones, have also been added.
Players can expect around two generations’ worth of Fakemon, totaling 252, plus 19 Mega forms. All non-legendary creatures should be obtainable before the E4. Original cries for 150 of these Fakemon are also included.
Other new features include running indoors, a day/night system, reusable TMs, a system for checking IVs in the stat screen, and the repel system from BW2. New evolution methods, gender-dependent, map-specific, item-based, and time-based, have also been added, Mega Evolutions, which work almost perfectly, and extra areas in Kanto with expanded maps to house specific Pokémon or items.
Several improvements have been made to existing areas, such as doubling the size of Pewter City, greatly expanding Molet Tunnel (formerly Diglett Tunnel), and slightly expanding Viridian Forest. Eggs now hatch at level 1, and the effects of Poison in the overworld are gone. The EV cap is now at 252 per stat instead of 255.
Players can acquire the regional and National Dex in the same way as in the original game, with every evolution possible from the start. Additionally, the Lucky Egg gives a bit more extra experience, and Life Orb works like Destiny Knot when breeding. Flame Body and Magma Armor also reduce egg-hatching time. Finally, a character in Pewter City will tell players the exact IVs and EVs of their Pokémon.
