Pokemon Ruby ROM Description

The Pokémon Company and Nintendo collaborated with Game Freak in 2002 to produce the role-playing video game Pokémon Ruby Version for the Game Boy Advance. Game Freak was responsible for the game’s development. The Pokémon video game franchise is currently in its third generation, which is often referred to as the “advanced generation.” It and Omega Version are the first games in this generation. Since the founding of the jointly-owned firm in 1998, Nintendo has been the exclusive publisher of the Pokémon franchise across all territories for a number of years. However, The Pokémon Company began co-publishing the video games for the first time in 2018.

The gameplay is mostly identical to the previous games, and the primary goals are to capture all of the Pokémon in the game and win against the Elite Four. There are now 135 new Pokémon, as well as new features like as double fights, Pokémon abilities, and Pokémon Contests. Additionally, the previous restriction of two players linked to each other simultaneously has been increased to a maximum of four players.

The games garnered mainly favorable reviews. However, critics had mixed reactions to the gameplay and aesthetics shown in the games. They were a financial success, with over 16.22 million copies sold, although they sold less copies than the generations before them, with Red and Blue having sold almost 31 million units globally, and Gold and Silver selling over 23 million units.
