There are several shapes in which Pokemon Stranded ROM departs from the standard fare of the Pokémon genre. But fear not, intrepid adventurer, for this marked the start of an epic journey. You awoke on the sandy shores of an unnamed, deserted isle, tasked with the quest to find your way back home. Armed with only your surfing skills and a thirst for adventure, you explored the isles surrounding you.

As you delved deeper into this uncharted terrain, you unraveled the sinister secrets. Gather information from various sources and piece together the clues scattered throughout the islands to expose the dark and gruesome mysteries that lay dormant, unknown to the rest of the world. While some conundrums can be theorized, others require a sharp eye and an analytical mind.

So take up the mantle, brave traveler, and embark on a journey of discovery unlike any other. The islands await, and so does your destiny.

ROM features

The game world is open for exploration almost immediately, with few restrictions on where you can go on the map. As you progress, the levels of wild Pokemon and trainer battles scale based on the level of your Pokemon, making for more challenging battles. But it’s not just battling that makes up your adventure; your Pokemon might get hungry or need attention, while you may also face unexpected challenges like getting poisoned or burned.

Luckily, there are multiple ways to overcome obstacles; some can even be ignored if you wish. Your choices have consequences, too, affecting the outcomes and actions of others. And if you lose a trainer battle, the story may take a different turn.

Throughout the game, you’ll encounter many Easter eggs and references to internet memes and outdated pop culture, hidden in words and languages, waiting to be discovered. Use the Adventure Menu to perform various actions, like crafting items or fetching water, and take advantage of the EasyNav Device, which replaces the need for HMs.

As you journey through the islands, you’ll collect Craftwood by cutting down trees, which you can use to create tents and campfires. You can also smash rocks for a chance to collect Hard Stones or mine walls for other rocky items. And when your Pokemon need healing, cook up some curries, which replace the need for traditional potions and elixirs.

Finally, for those looking for even more challenge, a daily boss fight against a tough Pokemon can be found by visiting a certain NPC underwater, with the day measured in real-time. With so much to explore and discover, your adventure is just beginning.
