Pokemon Voyager ROM Description
If you want a fun ROM hack based on Emerald, you should not miss Pokemon Voyager. This ROM has an epic story. It features exciting twists and turns and will enable you to collect Pokemon like any other game. While it is not yet finished, it is playable.
This game has a lot of Fakemon that you may catch and utilize in addition to the standard Pokemon. It is worth noting that the download file is a BPS file rather than a UPS or IPS file. But information on how to repair it may be found here. Just run the patcher and follow the steps to make Emerald your base ROM.
Background
In a bygone era, an earth-shattering event took place that reshaped the planet’s topography as we knew it. This catastrophic incident led to a steep rise in sea levels, forcing both humans and Pokémon to seek refuge in Keplara, the once mountainous and high-altitude region. As generations passed, the population of the region soared, putting an ever-increasing strain on the already limited space and resources available, leading to heightened tensions between the two groups.
With no viable options for inhabiting the rest of the planet, the residents of Keplara found themselves at a crossroads, seeking alternative means of expansion. While some chose to venture forth onto land and sea, others began to explore the boundless possibilities offered by space-faring technologies and the vast universe beyond. As the quest for new frontiers intensified, the fate of Keplara and its inhabitants hung in the balance, waiting to be determined by the unfolding events.
Plot
Since the moment you were born, Andromeda City has been your home, the bustling and vibrant hub of Keplara. Your father is a member of the esteemed Andromeda PD, while your mother is a prominent Antares League gym leader in the area. Despite being born and raised in such an esteemed household, you have always harbored dreams of becoming a skilled and renowned Pokémon trainer in your own right, eagerly anticipating the day when you will receive your own Trainer’s License and embark on your journey of adventure.
However, today is not that day. Instead, it is a day of great excitement and anticipation for the entire city, as your mother’s Antares League gym is preparing to move to its new and ultra-modern location at the very top of the towering Pokémon community skyscraper, showcasing its status and grandeur. While there are still a few odds and ends left to move and unpack before the grand opening, you and your father can handle them easily, ready to overcome any obstacles that may arise. With this in mind, what could possibly go wrong on this momentous day?
ROM features
Within the game, a delightful fusion of both Pokemon and Fakemon awaits your exploration, offering an intriguing combination of creatures to engage with. Furthermore, the PokeDex has been significantly expanded, furnishing you with additional details such as moves and other pertinent data, that would not be available in a typical PokeDex.
The game boasts a whopping 80 Fakemon, all ready for you to encounter and capture. To cater to your gaming preferences, the difficulty level is fully customizable. For an added thrill, internal game randomizers are available, including the likes of wild/trainer Pokemon, types, moves, abilities, items, evolutions, evolution methods, type advantages, and base stats. Additionally, the game offers a unique chaos mode, where events are randomized on the fly, though this feature may only work with certain randomizers.
If you’re up for a challenge, the in-game nuzlocke mode allows you to customize rules and causes. The game also includes several challenge modes, such as a single-type challenge, party size limits, species-name challenge, and evolution limitation challenges. The Battle Factory mode adds another layer of excitement, as does the upgraded/custom battle engine, which includes new moves, abilities, and effects, as well as rotation battles.
The ability discs feature enables you to teach your Pokemon abilities that they would not typically learn. Additionally, the new Pokedex includes more base stat information, learnsets, ability disc learnsets, and evolutions. To add a personal touch, the game features character customization, with over 60 outfits to choose from and customizable skin tones. The charisma system, meanwhile, rewards you for positive interactions with NPCs.
Gone are the HM moves, replaced with field moves that any party Pokemon can learn, making the game more fluid and less limiting. The casino also receives an upgrade, with new games like blackjack and Texas Hold’em, along with customizable Pokemon as prizes. Pokeball Pinball, daily Pokemart specials, city maps, side quests, and overworlds round out the game’s extensive list of features. Dexnav and custom Poke Ball types, along with critical capture and an achievement system with various categories, provide even more opportunities for gameplay. Finally, you can also research unknown species in your Pokedex and keep track of storyline and side quest progress using the in-game journal.
