Dr. Mario ROM Description
Nintendo R&D1 and Nintendo published the puzzle video game Dr. Mario. The game debuted in 1990 for the Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy. Dr. Mario & Puzzle League for the Game Boy Advance and Dr. Mario Online RX for the WiiWare are just two examples of the countless sequels and reimaginings that have followed. The audio was created by Hirokazu “Hip” Tanaka.
In Dr. Mario, the player takes on the role of Mario, who is tasked with eliminating viruses in a laboratory by dropping differently-colored vitamin capsules into a bottle to line up and eliminate viruses of the same color. The game has several gameplay modes, including Classic, which is a race against the clock to clear all the viruses, and versus mode, where two players compete against each other to eliminate viruses faster. The game features different speed levels, increasing difficulty as the player progresses. The game’s iconic soundtrack and simple yet challenging gameplay make it a classic puzzle game loved by players of all ages.
“Join the battle against viruses in the world of Dr. Mario! With its familiar falling block gameplay, you’ll be tasked to use your strategic skills and quick reflexes. Armed with colorful vitamin capsules, rotate and drop them into the play field to eliminate the menacing viruses.
Each capsule bears a bold red, yellow, or blue hue, and you must match its colors with the corresponding viruses. Stack four of the same color and watch as the virus disappears! With 21 challenging levels to choose from, see how far you can make it, from level 0 to the ultimate test of level 20, where 84 persistent viruses stand in your way.
Customize your experience by selecting your background music, either the lively Fever or the relaxing Chill, and set the game speed to match your pace. The faster you clear a level, the more intense the pace will become. Prove your puzzle-solving prowess and vanquish all viruses in Dr. Mario’s world!”
