To prevent the warlock Xande from wreaking havoc, you and your allies, the Warriors of Light, must travel across fantastical lands and gain allies and magic. You may customize your team by changing character classes at any time thanks to the inventive Job System. Cast spells as a Black Mage, launch assaults as a Ninja or Thief, and more as a Fighter. As you use each profession, it gains level and unlocks new powers.
To win the turn-based fights, you have to use strategy. When monsters strike, consider when to heal and when to attack. Summon legendary animals to defeat adversaries. Between the main adventure, complete side missions and puzzles. The series’ signature elements—airships, secret jobs, and vast worlds—were introduced in Final Fantasy 3.
