Plot
During one of his regular naps after lunch, Kirby is taken aback to find that he is unable to recall any of the dreams he has previously had. Soon after, he learns that King Dedede has taken the Star Rod, which is what feeds the energy to the Fountain of Dreams, broken it into numerous parts, and given each of his supporters a separate piece of the Star Rod to guard. Kirby is left with no other option except to track down these missing parts and restore dreaming to the Dream Land.
As well as the main plot, the game also includes subplots like helping Kirby to find the lost memories of Whispy Woods, the oldest and the leader of Dream Land’s trees, and discovering the secrets that lies behind the castle of King Dedede.
