Snake’s Revenge, released in 1990, was the follow-up to Metal Gear, which became a stealth phenomenon on the NES. It introduced solo infiltration to Nintendo systems. In this journey available only to foreign players, don your camouflage outfit and headband as commando Solid Snake.
Three years after the original game, information indicates that an enemy country is creating its own Metal Gear tanks. Snake returns to the field with a group of operatives in tow, determined to track down and eliminate the new models. Using your fists, knives, firearms, and explosives, infiltrate bases in the jungle, on trains, aboard cargo ships, and beyond. Evacuate captives, question police, and remain invisible.
Battle through action-packed 2D regions and side-scrolling interludes against guards, traps, and well-known enemies like Big Boss. The gameplay of Metal Gear is remixed by Snake’s Revenge using larger set pieces, tighter controls, and additional tools.
