Let’s return to a top-notch first-person shooter game called Quake 64! In fact, Quake is the exact original name of the game. And Quake 64 is just the name given to avoid confusion between the Nintendo 64 version and that of other platforms. The port was developed by id Software and was brought by Midway Games. This is the first in the series of the same name.

It seems that the game is named after the protagonist, but, on the contrary, it is the code-name of the antagonist. And the hero that you have to take the role is Ranger (this name is taken from Quake III version, in this version, the main character does not have a specific name). Ranger was the only survivor of the “Counterattack Campaign.” During his journey, the Ranger has been tasked with stopping Quake, starting with the fact that he was sent via a teleport gate. The gate was created by the government, called Slipgate. Knowing its presence, Quake used it to send her destructive armies to the human world, putting humanity on a difficult test.

Participating in the game, players will have to control Ranger to collect four ancient magic marks written in runes in four different dimensions. After collecting them successfully, in each episode, the player needs to find an exit, possibly slipgates, to move through the next world as the process. If the player overcomes all of the main obstacles that the game has set, the protagonist will be taken to a final confrontation against Quake. The four previously collected runes will be used to defeat this villain. Besides, don’t forget that, with such a typical FPS game, the player must destroy the enemies encountered on the road to score. At the same time, do not kill yourself through the use of explosive weapons on yourself and avoid the attacks of the enemy. Otherwise, players will be deducted points.

Throughout the game, there are seven different episodes with total levels up to 38. Besides, there are two separate levels, “Welcome to Quake” and “Final Level,” which are the opening and ending, respectively. Besides, the game also supports multiplayer mode with fierce matches through Deathmatch mode.
