Explore ominous research facilities in this sci-fi first-person shooter game. You are sent through labyrinthine hallways at C.O.R.E. as a special agent looking into a distant laboratory experiment gone wrong. Despite perfectly capturing the lonesome feeling, this one is difficult to recommend because to its confusing navigation and cliched action.
Fight through connected complexes with mutated former scientists brandishing experimental firearms. Explode and fire through dimly lighted hallways strewn with papers, adding depth to the narrative. You’ll constantly get lost looking for keycards if you don’t have a map. The scarcity of health and ammunition necessitates careful resource management.
Sadly, the subpar level design in Metroid Prime Hunters cannot be saved by the superb controls. Though artistically uninteresting, the visuals are outstanding technically. The monotonous music and slow, unrelenting tempo can become old fast. Repeatedly going back over the same settings is just a hassle.
C.O.R.E. has potential as a chilling science fiction thriller. However, this one is difficult to go through due to poor combat and annoying navigational problems. It could be worth a cautious look if you’re itching for corridor first-person shooter action, but go in with low expectations. Only the most ardent supporters need apply, as there are many of excellent choices available.
