Published by EA Games, it lets you play as three different species which each have their own rad campaign and gameplay perks. You’ve got the vicious Aliens, the ruthless Predators, and the badass Colonial Marines. Tell me that combo doesn’t get your hype?!
The graphics still hold up pretty well and it has a dark, gritty vibe just like the movies. No base building or resource collecting here – it’s all about strategy and fighting. You control squads, upgrade your troops, and complete objectives to advance. And omg the finishing moves you can pull off are just gnarly. I totally chopped a Marine in half with the Predator’s disc weapon thingy!
I’ll be real with you, I was skeptical at first because some movie tie-in games can be total trash. But AVP: Extinction is surprisingly fun and immersive. Moving through the creepy atmospheres and juggling multiple objectives really makes you feel like you’re part of this iconic sci-fi universe. It’s scary, challenging, and pushes the PS2’s capabilities to the max. Absolute chef’s kiss!
