In the land of arcade-style shooting games, “Cocoto Magic Circus,” known as “Cocoto Funfair” in Europe, offers a vibrant diversion. Released in 2006 by Neko Entertainment, this shoot ’em up video game serves up a variety of colorful characters and minigames. Intriguingly, the PlayStation 2 version opts to support only the original GunCon, shunning the more modern GunCon 2 peripheral. Games like “Fightback” pit the player against an enemy, using projectiles that can spell defeat for whoever is closest when the timer runs out.
As for the minigames, they cover an interesting range. “Free Fairy” tasks you with shooting objects to liberate the trapped Fairy, only to find she’s an imposter. “Protect Fairy” involves preventing a horde of enemies from reaching the damsel, a task made more complex when she is captured yet again by the nefarious Clown.
For those in search of a colorful and competitive shooting experience, “Cocoto Magic Circus” delivers. The game offers a range of engaging minigames that promise to keep the player on their toes, whether they are saving damsels or thwarting clowns.
