Street Fighter EX3 ROM Description
Get ready to rumble with Street Fighter EX3, the final entry in the EX spin-off series created by Arika. Available exclusively on PlayStation 2, this 3D fighter builds on the tag-team mechanics of EX2 while introducing new modes and characters.
The core gameplay sticks to traditional Street Fighter combos and specials, now with the ability to tag in partners for flashy team-up attacks. Execute Meteor Combos, Surprise Blows, Super Cancels and more with familiar faces like Ryu, Chun-Li and Vega. The new Guard Break system also opens up mind games during fights.
EX3 innovates with a handful of modes. Original Mode features multi-character battles and ending vignettes for each fighter. Arena offers matches like Dramatic Battles, 2-on-2 and more with friends. The deep Character Edit Mode lets you customize new creation Ace from the ground up.
Ace starts as a blank slate, but by completing challenges you earn points to purchase special moves and supers to create your ideal fighter. Invest time and you can make Ace a powerhouse to battle human competitors. This creation toolkit adds tremendous replay value.
With 3D visuals and realtime lighting, EX3 impresses on PS2 hardware. The eclectic soundtrack provides upbeat energy for brawls. Smooth animation and familiar special effects make attacks look impactful. While assets are reused from EX2, the presentation shines on Sony’s new console.
