Corpse Party – Book of Shadows ROM Description
Corpse Party – Book of Shadows is a survival horror video game developed by Team GrisGris and published by Xseed Games. It is the second game in the main Corpse Party series, following Corpse Party, and was released in 2011 for the PlayStation Portable in Japan, and later released in other regions for the PSP and iOS.
Join the students of Kisaragi High School as they revisit the otherworldly horrors of a haunted school, but this time they are equipped with memories from the future in an effort to change their own gruesome destinies. Join them as they try in vain to change their own macabre destinies. Witness, as well, some important occurrences that took place during or before the events of the previous game. After that, dig further into the secrets of Heavenly Host as survivors from the previous game’s Corpse Party investigate an even more horrible area in an effort to find answers.
The game features a first-person point-and-click adventure style of gameplay, binaural 3D audio with original Japanese voices (including reprisals from all main cast members), dozens of endings, a “Darkening” system that slowly distorts both the game’s visuals and its characters’ decision-making abilities, and a host of unlockable extras, all of which combine to make this a must-play for both fans of Japanese horror and fans of the series.
