In Ice Cold, you take charge of an NHL club during online matches, seasons, and individual games. Exhibition, season, multiplayer, and a Gretzky challenge mode with unlockables are the only modes that are left over from the PS2 edition. Passing, shooting, striking, and deking are all accessible thanks to straightforward controls. Nuance is provided by innovations like shot targeting.
Unfortunately, an incredibly choppy frame rate ruins any potential amusement. It seems sloppy and confusing to handle your player because of the jerky performance. It becomes pointless to set up passes, checks, and shoots. Even the capable AI has trouble; it scores lower than anticipated. Thanks to their formidable defense, only the goalies appear to have improved.
For the sake of maintaining pseudo-PS2 looks, the graphics clearly suffer. Although the arenas and players are quite detailed, the jerkiness breaks the immersion.
