You find yourself transported through time and space to a strange new world. Historic warriors from China’s Three Kingdoms period and Japan’s Warring States era now stand united against a common threat – the sinister Serpent King Orochi. Having summoned these heroes across centuries, Orochi now pits them against each other in a twisted scheme to test their mettle.
You choose three warriors from over 70 playable characters to battle alongside, switching between their unique fighting styles. Strategists like Zhuge Liang employ delicate techniques, while brutes like Lu Bu unleash ferocious power strikes. Speedy ninjas allow double jumps for airborne assaults. Completing objectives and felling foes unlocks new weapons and abilities to customize each champion.
Four interwoven tales unfold across familiar fields of conflict warped by Orochi’s magic. In one, Shu forces rescue General Zhao Yun from captivity, joining rebels against the tyrant’s army. Another sees Wei warlord Cao Pi reluctantly aid Orochi to defeat opponents, pursuing cryptic plans of his own. Wu royalty, like Sun Jian are compelled into submission by captured kin until rebellion ignites. Meanwhile, samurai lords Nobunaga, Shingen, and Kenshin refuse cooperation even when facing total domination.
