I used to like losing myself in fanciful tales as a child, full of heroic journeys and mystical characters. I strive, as an adult, to remember a little bit of that innocent, wide-eyed astonishment whenever I can. You can only imagine how happy I was to learn about Popolocrois on the PSP. You will be transported to a fantasy realm full of valiant princes, sinister demons, and comical monsters by this endearing role-playing game.
You may go with young Prince Pietro over the region of Popolocrois as he attempts to save his mother’s soul and then that of his father. A diverse group of eleven adventurers, including a stoic white knight and a mysterious woodland witch, are led by the sincere prince. Together, you’ll investigate labyrinths, take on bizarre foes like baseball bugs and ninja robots, and avert the impending collapse of the realm.
Turn-based combat and basic tasks keep the game’s complexity low. It is simple to learn and play for little periods of time, making it ideal for a portable system. Though greater depth may be desired by seasoned RPG players, Popolocrois was for me a calming, enjoyable experience. A calming feeling is produced by the upbeat music and endearing visuals.
