There are a few issues holding back the combat, however. With no block button, Crom relies solely on dodging incoming attacks. This can lead to frustrating moments given the chaotic enemy swarms and distracting visuals. The camera also has a habit of losing track of the action in heated battles.
But while it has its flaws, Bloodforge still provides plenty of satisfying hack and slash gameplay. The detailed comic book-inspired visuals combined with Crom’s unrelenting rage makes this an easily recommendable download for mature action fans.
