L.A. Noire ROM Description
L.A. Noire is a video game developed by Team Bondi and published by Rockstar Games for the Xbox 360 console. The game is set in the 1940s in Los Angeles, and players take on the role of detective Cole Phelps as he investigates a series of cases that span the city’s various criminal underworlds.
The game is known for its unique blend of action, adventure, and detective elements, as players must gather evidence, interview suspects, and solve crimes in order to progress through the story. The game features a large open-world environment, which allows players to explore the city and interact with its inhabitants.
One of the game’s main features is its use of MotionScan technology, which captures an actor’s facial expressions and movements in order to create highly realistic characters. This allows players to use clues from a suspect’s facial expressions and body language to determine whether or not they are lying.
The game’s story is divided into five cases, each of which follows a different crime genre. Players start as a patrolman and work their way through the ranks of the LAPD, solving cases from the traffic, homicide, vice, and arson desks. The game’s soundtrack is also noteworthy, featuring a mix of period-accurate music from the 1940s, as well as an original score composed by Andrew Hale and Simon Hale.
