Others refer to Rubi Malone, a competent and relentless problem solver, as a mercenary. She’s prepared to do whatever it takes to complete her job for a fee, no matter how many bodies she has to leave in her wake.
One day, a guy named Robert Pelham commits the fatal error of betraying her. Enraged by the betrayal, Rubi embarks on a vengeance mission across numerous countries, fending off legions of minions in pursuit of her objective.
The game is supposed to seem like a grindhouse film, replete with scratches and missing sequences. It includes a lot of blood and gore and focuses on finely planned action scenes.
Players will see Rubi take on progressively lethal opponents as they steer her through the game’s harsh, stylized landscape, leaving a path of carnage in her wake. Rubi gets more determined to take her revenge with each step, making it clear that anyone who crosses her will face the repercussions.
WET is an action-packed game with a wide range of gaming options. One important goal is to collect point multipliers by destroying waves of enemies. Rubi, the protagonist, can shoot in third-person shooter form with her weapons. When she jumps or slides, firing activates a slow-motion mode akin to Max Payne. In this mode, one hand automatically locks onto an adversary while the other may aim at different targets and pull off headshots.
Although the game has standard linear advancement, the “arena” parts, when Rubi is limited to a particular place while battling waves of foes, are the actual highlights. To prevent adversaries from reappearing, the player must smash specific things. While it is possible to speed through these parts by focusing on eliminating opponent spawn points, the game grades performance based not just on how quickly the player travels but also on the degree of acrobatics and the number of foes defeated. At the end of each arena section, the player is rewarded with points for attaining high ratings, which may subsequently be used to enhance Rubi’s weaponry or acquire new acrobatic talents.
