Sonic the Hedgehog is a video game franchise created by Sega, starring the eponymous blue hedgehog Sonic. The franchise has been released on multiple consoles over the years, including the PlayStation 3.
The first game in the series, Sonic the Hedgehog, was released on the Sega Genesis in 1991. The game follows Sonic as he tries to stop the evil Dr. Robotnik from taking over the world by collecting the Chaos Emeralds.
